What’s New: Library Elf and TexShare Cards

The Mesquite Public Library System announces two new services available.

Library Elf is an online program which can send you an email alert when your library items are due and can notify you when a hold becomes available. Combine multiple library cards on one account to easily keep up with the due dates for your whole family. Sign up for an account at www.libraryelf.org/signup.aspx?library=Mesquite or follow the link on the library’s home page. Library Elf is provided by The Friends of the Mesquite Public Library.

Mesquite residents who have had a library card in good standing for at least 3 months can apply for a TexShare Library card. The TexShare card will allow you to go to other participating libraries and check out library material. Each participating library sets its own policy and may have limits on what can be checked out and how many items can be checked out at a time. You can search for participating libraries and view their policies at https://www.tsl.state.tx.us/texshare/libsearch/index.php#term. To get a TexShare card, apply at the check-out desk at either the Mesquite Main Library or the Mesquite North Branch Library.
