KnoWhat2Do

Have you ever wondered what to do when an emergency takes place? Where would you meet your family if something happened while you were away from home? Do you have all the supplies you would need to survive for up to three days? The Mesquite Office of Emergency Management would like to encourage you to be prepared! There are three simple steps to remember:

Think: Learn about different disasters that could affect you and your family and make sure that you know how to respond to them.

Prepare: When a disaster occurs, your family may not be at the same location. A plan should be in place for how you will get back together. Planning for different situations can aid you when something actually occurs.

Make an out of town contact that everyone calls if something happens. Find out the type of disasters that are likely to occur in your area. Emergency plans can be found online at www.knowhat2do.com.

Act: Take responsibility to create a plan and an emergency supply kit. Volunteer your time or take the message to the streets.

The City of Mesquite Office of Emergency Management would like to encourage you to be prepared for if a disaster strikes your hometown. Remember: Think, Prepare, Act. If you would like more information, please feel free to visit www.knowhat2do.com or contact us at 972-329-8377.
